Transformative Mindset Coach, Nurse Practitioner

Hey y’all! I am excited to announce my professional transition into coaching while continuing my work as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP).

While this site may focus on my coaching business, life isn’t all about work; it’s about chasing what ignites your passion and living the fullest version of yourself.

I grew up in Fort Necessity, Louisiana, but called Austin, Texas home for 29 years. I recently moved to Northwest Arkansas with my spouse, Daniel, and our 4-legged critters, Buddy and Minnie.

I enjoy gardening, plants, and tree-hugging! You can often find me capturing moments in nature with my camera - be it my trusty iPhone or my fancy macro lens. Nature is one of my passions, and the beauty of plants, trees, and critters forever spellbind me.

PS: Every pic on my site is my handiwork except for the professional photos of me (thanks Moira Photo).

Since the ‘90s, my idea of a blast has been grooving at live shows with my top two bands: Phish and the Grateful Dead (now Dead and Company)! I love bluegrass, old-school country tunes, New Orleans funk, and other JamBands. As of the publishing of the website, I’ve been to the Sphere in Las Vegas SEVEN times! Let the good times roll, or as we say in Louisiana, Laissez les bons temps rouler!

I’ve been in the medical field since 1995, starting as a hospital RN in and then as a family nurse practitioner (FNP) in 2016. Once I stepped into the FNP shoes, I felt like a true healer, and my patients flourished under my care. The initial year as an FNP was a rollercoaster but I managed to create a thriving medical practice.

After my clinic shut down, I bounced around different jobs, dedicating my all to helping others while neglecting myself. I was running on empty, working late into the night without a moment for self-care. I turned into a living example of what NOT to do.

In 2021, I decided it was time to revamp myself. Balancing work and life became my mission, paving the way for a transformation. By reshaping my work ethic, I drew a line in the sand and stuck to it. Gone were the days of late-night clinic shifts and chart-closing marathons. I tuned into my body’s SOS signals, realizing that my old ways weren’t cutting it health-wise.

My weight ballooned before and during the pandemic, and was fueled by a nightly bottle of red wine. I joined a nutrition program and teamed up with a nutrition coach for weekly check-ins. Together, we waved goodbye to diet culture, assigning guilt to eating and food, and welcomed a new era of meeting health goals through nutrition, and prioritized outdoor activities!

A few months into the nutrition program, I realized that my alcohol intake was holding me back from meeting my health goals, so I chose to give up alcohol for 100 days. The impact of this decision was so significant that I opted to make it a permanent part of my lifestyle. This shift propelled my weight loss and personal transformation and was key in reclaiming my health!

While I benefited from my own personal coaching, a light bulb moment occurred - why not dive into the coaching world and sprinkle some medical magic there too? Transitioning from the busy medical scene into a more zen coaching career felt like a logical step to deepen my expertise and continue my journey.

During my transformation, I unearthed the magic of prioritizing self care and daily habits. Whether it is sweating it out outdoors or striking a pose in yoga or channeling inner peace through meditation and breathwork, consistency is key. I’ve learned that small daily acts can shake us out of our funk and unlock the healing within. Embracing the nitty-gritty of my well-being and sticking to my daily practices made me see that my tale of self-help could light a spark in others.

Diving deeply into my subconscious to kick old habits to the curb has been my secret weapon in my transformation. Along the journey, I’ve blossomed and discovered my purpose in helping others through my passions. The tools needed for transformation are surprisingly simple. Are you ready to unlock the magic of self-healing and your unconscious mind? You don’t need to take this journey solo, let’s take this path together!

In my wild adventure, I’ve discovered that each person’s healing journey is unique. Self-healing is a winding mountain trail that lasts a lifetime! When we unlock our potential, embrace growth, and become our best selves, it’s like dropping a pebble in a pond — the ripples spread far and wide in our universe.

Let the self-healing magic begin!
